Business Analyst Summer Scholar – Federal Human Capital, Strategy
When a Federal Agency undergoes significant organizational changes, they need a trusted advisor to help them drive decisions and navigate challenges. A company’s most valuable asset is its workforce, and in Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, we work with organizations to align their HR systems and processes with their business strategies. Whether developing a refined method for streamlining new hire onboarding, benchmarking a client’s workforce planning strategies, or testing a payroll system for deficiencies, we help our clients adopt new technology systems to manage their people data.
As a dynamic, strategic thinker who understands the big picture, you will work directly with our clients to help align talent and human resources strategies with broader business objectives.
Work You’ll Do
Our work goes beyond HR and touches every part of an organization, including Finance, IT, Sales, Supply Chain, as well as other disciplines. As a Federal Human Capital Business Analyst Summer Scholar (intern), you will leverage research, analytics and industry insights to help design and execute critical programs from business-driven HR to innovative talent, leadership and change programs. Taking advantage of enabling technologies, employee engagement tools, advanced workforce planning, and analytics, you can help steer our clients to realize their full potential. You might work with our clients to determine how restructuring their organization can increase efficiencies, establish new delivery models for shared services, or develop global communication strategies to highlight the benefits of a new technology. Or you’ll work on our teams to help our clients define, build and implement improvements to their HR processes and structures, determining the right systems needed to better manage their people information.

During your first week of the internship, you will participate in an extensive orientation and training program designed to familiarize you to the organization and prepare you for the summer. The Summer Scholars will also be invited to participate in the Consulting Summer Scholar Internship Conference hosted during the summer at Deloitte University. • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field of study with a target graduation date between December 2018 and June 2019.
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.4)
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
• Ability to participate full-time for an 8 to 10-week internship (June to August 2018)
• Excellent communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
